Turbo's again

can anyone please tell me what turbo's are on the 2.5 and on the 3l cars as i thought the were all T25's

3l are T28s I believe

t28 on m400

remember there are different version of turbo's

just because one car has a T25 does not mean it has the same conpressor wheel and ex housing as another

for example - there are many many different versions of the T3 ranging from 150 hp to 400 hp

Yep that's what I came to realise.... I had 2 sets of almost new turbos sitting around with M400 manifolds etc just collecting dust so....

spoke to graham at universal turbos to find out a bit more. They supplied the original turbos for noble and shed some light on the subject. M400 had T28's , 3 & 3R's had T25's and The little 2.5L had a turbo made from half T25 and half T2.

I did have but they were sold within half an hour of being removed from the car

Not seen a gt 28 x yet Mike on the market but promises to spool quicker than a titanium one !

Just been looking at my old turbo off my 2.5L and new one(T25) closely as they look very similar from all angles. The inlet side is the same but on the exhaust side you can see a much bigger compressor wheel and wastegate.
Although the actuator isnt as strong on the T25 but im guessing its because there is no boost soilinoid on the 2.5L cars so boost is set by the actuator.
