Hi all,

Just got a very nice price off Admiral multi car but at the moment my renewal is in November and her's is July. Does anyone know if Admiral can start it for her and then add me or is there another way we can get up for renewal at the same time without paying extra for 1 month at a time?

Cheers

You can set up a multicar policy with one being on cover and the other as a "pending car" then when you policy with your other insurer ends you just bring it over.
The price quoted for your car is pro rata based on the remaining time left till the renewal of the multicar.

I'm with Admiral. Seems to work well.

Sorry to go slightly off topic with this one, but it doesn't warrant a thread of it's own, I turned 25 last year and renewal is this month. Does anyone know if Admiral offer the 3rd party extension still? It'd be quite handy for the odd occasion I may need to drive someone elses car.

I did this and it was easy. It also felt like getting cheap insurance despite me actually only paying for 8 months.

The driving other vehicles extension will be added as of the renewal, you can ring on and add it before renewal but There would be a document charge for new certificates etc.

Thanks very much, does indeed help - renewal is this week though so no point adding it on just yet!

I had to do the same, they took care of it all, there was a 4 or 5 month difference between the two.

HEHE. Now, you know being sensible doesn't work here. People would rather take the word of unknown people typing on a keyboard than ask the proper person.
