Morning all.
I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with PCS in Milton Keynes (/Bletchley).
They are supposed to be BMW/Mercedes specialists but do BINIs as well.
My MCS will need brakes soon and I think clutch and by the feel of things something like track rod ends. PCS also have a wheel alignment machine something i am sure it needs. oh plus i think it might need a service even though it's 10k miles off on the indicator because, increasingly, i have a sneaking suspicion the main stealers didn't necessarily do everything they should've last service..
anyhow any views on PCS either here or PM'd will be gratefully received.
my BiL has had good expeiences of the specialists in rugby for his e46..but it's already a hassle having to get to and from london and try and get the car to th menders and stuff without having to go up there!
there's a brilliant guy who lives in my village and has a small garage near by. I trust him entirely and he's very neat/perfectionist etc BUT i think that even at £40p/h some jobs can get a bit dear (brake change on wife's Migraine) because he isn;t a specialist and takes a bit longer. hence i think that whilst the work will be to the same standard i could hopefully save a bit by going to people who do this day in day out. pps i need some advice as much as just getting it mended and again specialist seems sensible.
i have only ever found bmw main dealers to offer poor service and cr4p fault identifictation so want to keep a mile away from them.

I've used them a couple for changing the front pads and discs on my E60 5 series after the local dealer wanted another £100 on top of what PCS charged and also for changing the wheel bearing on my E30 325 sport which turned into a right nightmare and ended having the whole hub replaced. They were pretty good on the whole and seem to know their way around even the newer BM's. The only reason I haven't used them since was a) because I found another local specialist nearer to me and b) because they stopped opening on Saturday morning although I'm not sure if thats still the case.

I must add that when the E30 was with them for the wheel bearing, they tried for well over a day trying to prise the bearing out (it had become had pretty much fused) without success and once they'd finally admitted defeat, they managed to source a secondhand hub quickly as I was just about to go on holiday in the car, and the hub was at a very reasonable price which also went for the whole bill for the work done.thanks - good to know they haven;t been useless.
