Wing mirrors

My NS mirror has given up the ghost - a while ago I remember some chat about using MX5 or Audi TT mirrors as replacements - is this still the best way forward, or has anyone else come up with another solution?

Gather the Mazda MX5 MK1 are a good replacement, the looks are a matter of personal taste but people that have converted say the mk1's really work well. Plenty past posts have photo's etc.
Im planning to install a set over next two months so i can sell you my old rabbit ear ones if you want to keep original.

I think its an S3 from another post so citroen CX mirrors, Clever Trevor lists them so he might be able to help

my s3 had rabbit ears, replaced with mx5 one of the best mods ever.

I get the impression all MX5 Mk1's have electrically adjustable mirrors?

Car looks very good with them by the way!

thanks mine are manual,very hand out the window manual but once set they don't move. Passenger one is best done with a freind to help.

It really makes it so much nicer to drive when both wing mirrors work properly. I couldn't see sh*t before what with the wobbling and crazy angle the old pasenger one needed to be at.

Is that serious or do I need one of those whoosh parrots ? If so, I've got an idea which has been bugging me for a while and would love to hear other opinions on it. I'll even bring along a bottle of Glenlivet to help loosen up the tonsils

Yes I'm sure he will not want to re-open the "Pressure Caps" debate again as we nailed that one to everyones satisfaction last year
tongues will be well loose by then anyway but I'm sure the Glenlivet will be welcome, just watch out for that scrounger Tom filling his hip flask
