Discounts are available on new if you shop around. I'm thinking of getting the 42mm PO. I have been offered a substantial reduction on a new one off the £2,430 RRP from an Omega AD mentioned on this forum.
An attractive second-owner price for yours would be circa £1,850. The 45.5mm and 42mm are the same RRP.

ETA: Apologies for the multiple posting. It's NOT my fault!

You could post a vague advert thread on Pistonheads, bypassing the classifieds.

I sold the same watch via Classifieds a couple of weeks ago. Think I took £1,650 in the end as was getting bored with the number of people offering "£1,000 cash today".
http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2407423.htm
The best one was "I've been offered one brand new for £1,100, so am giving you the chance to take £1,050". He went quiet when I offered him £1,400 for his new one...

Won't hang around long at that price I would have thought.

I'd have it, but I've only got a 7" wrist, so a 45.5mm watch would look daft on me. Why couldn't you have won a 42mm one? biggrin

Well, FWIW (which isn't much) I think you've pitched it about right. It's fairly easy to get one of these for just over a couple of grand, so as long as you don't wear it I think someone will bite. As for people making silly offers, it comes with the territory I'm afraid.

Thing is the watch has gone up in value a LOT. So its a bit weird really.

FWIW I bought mine brand new off Dom for less than yours is up for a couple of years ago, so maybe people are living in the past?
