Hi All,

I'll have to be careful here due to naming and shaming rules but lets say its a Salvage Yard in Essex that specialises in two car makers from France and America.

I ordered a N/S/R Stub Axle, ABS Sensor and Wheel hub totaling £79.20 for my Focus. The parts turn up at the garage that is doing the work and say that they are O/S/R and also the ABS Sensor is faulty. Ring the Salvage Yard who are very rude and simply tell me tough. After abit of hassle they agree I will send them the parts back at my own cost and they will send correct parts when mine arrive. This would have taken far too long so instead I bought parts from a Salvage Yard in Doncaster and requested a refund that the Essex Yard said they would give (After about 5 phone calls).

Long story short, they recieve parts back and I get no refund, several calls later they now say they will only send a credit note.

They have been nothing but rude and ignorent in all my dealings with them and I'm fed up of pratting about now.

Been to my bank to try and get a reverse charge but they won't as the parts arrived.

Any suggestions?

But they didn't? The parts were incorrect, along with one being faulty.

Small claims court. This would fall under the distance selling regs wouldn't it meaning you have a right to a full refund within x (28?) amount of days?

Accept the loss and move on, the ammount of time and effort you go to it's not worth the bother.

(Friends went through the courts and won when they brought a 3 year old clio and on the way home the gearbox went bang, they have never seen a penny from the garage, about a week after they won the case the garage changed names, nothing you can do)
