Why do we use braided hoses?

Every time I go to disconnect one I stab myself on the single broken strand that is sticking up waiting for me!

Hydraulic hoses have the braiding in the inside for a reason. These hoses may look pretty but they are waiting to snag us when we have to do some work in "their lair".

A stabbing is fine.

Haven't workshop heaters got as far as Shropshire yet Kyle?

How do you stop the water in your workshop loo freezing because at that temperature I would be needing it very regularly with all that coffee to keep warm.

Yeah it's annoying. But try pulling the line through your hand cleaning up and have a strand loose. Cuts across your whole palm like a scalpel blade. Now that's a bit more than just annoying

the new new black kevlar cloth hoses are a lot easer to work with, look better and don't act like a band saw if they contact something. lee
