Possible stupid question - Broken speaker, can it be fixed?
Discussion
If the magnet falls off the back of a speaker, can you just put it back and the speaker work?
Had this fall off a shelf many years ago and just stuck it in the loft, I was going to use the speaker body for something else and wondered if, before I chop it up, there was any chance of fixing it?

Sorry if this sort of idiocy offends any of you audiophiles.

I'll give it a go then, just need to find some speaker cable.
Look at the voice coil, the bit with copper wire wound round, is it still round? If so ok, then the gap on the magnet, where the voice coil enters, is it still equal all round, use a thin piece of cardboard the width of the gap at what looks like the widest point to check, if it moves round ok then good to try.
Smear of epoxy glue on the location dowels on the magnet and give it a go.
To test, any old cable will do.
