Tesco Clubcard points + hotels

Morning all
Me and the Mrs are looking to book a hotel using the Clubcard vouchers. Normally you have to give 14 days notice prior to booking, has anybody on here tried to booked within 14 days of your staying date? Just wondered if its a definite no no or if the hotel has room they will still let you book.

Not the anwer you are looking for - but on a relevant topic.....
A friend of mine works for Marriott hotels and has just informed me that they have released a significant amount of rooms to Tesco Club points for their two manchester hotels, for the Easter School holidays and Summer holidays.
They keep this kind of thing quiet, but I checked a few dates could get availablility each time. ended up with 2 nights at the renaissamce Hotel over easter to take the kids to MOSI.
