Discussion
Guys i asked this once before but hope that perhaps there's someone out there that can help....am planning a road trip and have a general route already planned that brings us to near Ashbourne. From there we are travelling to Stoneleigh nr Coventry....we're on a tour so want to find decent roads ( not main road/dual carriageways ) - we're in 7's so nice twistys/interesting is the order of teh day.
Can anyone recommend some roads between Those 2 places?
thx Mark G

Don't know anything north of Burton but the A444 from Burton down to Nuneaton is pretty good, maybe a bit large for a 7. 2 caveats:-
1) it can get busy, but if you're up early then you should be fine
2) I think there's a camera or occasional trap near the A5 end.
From there I'd probably take the A5 SE until you get to the Fosse Way, then follow that down until you get to Princethorpe, then across to Cubbington, then West for a mile and turn right up the Stoneleigh Road.
(Quicker and more direct route is to abandon the Fosse at the A45 and follow A45 to either Cov Airport (there's a back road from there to Stoneleigh), or to the A46 and then head south for 1 junction.)

Ashboure, take A515 to Kings Bromley, then A513 to Tamworth, then B5493 back to the A/M42 J11, then A444 to Nuneaton.
