Hello any advices for new tires on a fast road/rally use 3000s with standard T slots wheels?

Not much choice in 195-60/65/70 - R 14, though...

Noticed the followings :

Hankook Ventus RS-2

Toyo Proxes CF 1

Falken Ziex ZE 912

Anyone have advices or report on those tires?

thanks!

I ran the Fuldas, at Adrian's recommedation, on my S as a road and hillclimb car.
I was very impressed, they wore well and were very progressive. Not expensive either.

After those on 14'' wheels I went onto Toyo T1Rs on 15'' wheels, again very good. In fact I have the T1Rs in the garage & might sell them as I'm now on Toyo 888's.

Now these are not a tyre for extreme wet road use as I found on the way to Prescott last year. I had to take to the services on the M42!!

Thanks, Steve.

What are the dimensions of your Fulda set?

PS/ Nice 3000s... I like the colour.

Hi Christian,

The Fuldas were 195/70/14 on T Slot wheels, as recommended by Adrian

The T1Rs were:
Front 205/55/15 on 6x15 Compomotive MLs
Back 225/50/15 on 7x15 Compomotive MLs

The Hankooks will be best by a country mile in this company. They're a semi-trackday tyre with sufficiently few compromises to make them good for everyday use. I recently put a set on my Integra Type-R and am extremely happy with them. Fine in standing water, excellent grip levels and very progressive breakaway. They take a few minutes to warm up, but then so does the car...

I currently have Toyo T1-Rs on my Cerbera but will definitely be putting some RS-2s on that next too.
