Petrolhead Tom is calling in!
Discussion
Hi all, my name is Tom and I’m from Holland. Ever since I was a little kid I was obsessed with cars and the sheer pleasure of driving. When I was young my grandfather took me for a drive in his Bmw, that sorts of explains my love for the german brand. When I was sixteen I couldn’t wait no further to get behind the wheel and I took a job at a dry cleaner. Every Saturday I could clean the vans and I had the opportunity to take them for a small drive on the drycleaners property to park the cars.
But then you turn eighteen and you get driving lessons. Awesome! In Holland you have to take several tests to get you driving license but because at that time it wasn’t made obligatory yet so I had my license in under a month. Great let the driving fun start! I didn’t had any money to buy a car and so I took my mothers car for a spin. It was a Citroen C3 1.4 with 8 valves. Damn that thing was slow! But still I had fun. I tried to drive the perfect line threw a corner and try to brake as late as possible. My father had at the time a Opel Signum 2.2 diesel with an automatic gearbox. Probably the most understeered car in the whole world. I didn’t liked it much but if you got of the throttle in a fast corner the back would step out which was great fun. Then my mother got a new car. A 2006 Mini Cooper. 115 Bhp and a sport chassis. Sounds great but it had the 15 inch balloon tires on it and they wouldn’t let you go fast around corners, but sliding was no problem It was really great fun! I fitted an open air filter to it and a Laser double exhaust, damn that thing sounded good
Here is an impression of the exhaust.

But the car wasn’t verry good probably build on a Monday morning. We had it for 4 years it had 3 new gearboxes fitted and 1 new ecu. And still it wasn’t running like it should. To bad but the dealer gave us a verry good price for it and we ordered the new Mini Cooper R56 with some nice options as you can see on the pictures.

But I’m forgetting to tell you guys all about my own car. A Nissan Micra 1.3 from 1999 with a sportsexhaust, janspeed manifold and a CAI and sport chassis. Speaking of fun motoring! I had a blast with that car. Had it for four years. Recently sold it but my my what a great little piece of kit. I took it on the nurburgring and I drove it on Zandvoort what a great fun. Because of the lack of power you have to work really hard to put a not-so-super bad time on the clock. It sounded good to! Here is a vid and some pics of the micra.

But like all good things sometimes you just want something different. It was time for the Micra to go and now I got this!
It is a bone stock Citroen C2 VTS it has the 1.6 litre engine wich produces around 125 BHP. What a great fun is this. It sounds good it handles good and it had enough pace in it to put a smile on your face. I just love this car. Here is some picture frenzy of the C2.

I'm sorry for my rusty English but I do my best. I hope this is a proper introduction. Cheers!
