Heator resistor/ecu in T350c broken

My fan/heater on my t350c has stopped working, been told its the resistor in the passanger footwell. TVR power has quoted about £150 to £200 to fix the old one, I was wondering if any one else has any ideas?

If its the heater controller that has failed, which is common, there is a place in Luton that will re-furbish it for about £50 and turn it round in a couple of days. You can buy the resistors from Maplin for a couple of quid and DIY.

There is little in the way of labour to remove it, mine was stuck in on a blob of silicone adhesive! remove the connector and pull!
