Two types of police in Spain.
Policia Locale (sp) drive white and blue cars and are as you might think the local police that look for lost poodles and sort out the parking on shopping days.
La Guardia are the 'real' police in white and green cars. They are ruthless and just about any motoring offence will attract what used to be 25000 Ptas fine which I assume is now approx 150 euros or £100.
But they are few and far between on normal roads.
Have fun,

and I'm sat overlooking it right now! sssh, I'm supposed to be babysitting Gabby but she's asleep in her pram.
Crikey Ian, another red Griff in Nerja, they'll think I'm back sooner than I said. Pop into El Candil (good restaurant anyway) by the Balcon and ask for Paul, he's dead keen on cars and would be flabbergasted to know that another Griff had come to Nerja.
Check out Los Angeles' post on "furthest trip in a TVR" It's got the full diary of my trip down here last August
Or email me with any questions. I'm back in the UK at work on Tuesday... having said that though, just put a deposit on somewhere further along the coast so might decide to stay on a bit and just send for the car
