Submersible fuel hose
Discussion
I'm sure Google could probably find it cheaper but Demon Tweeks do it.

That's just fuel hose...doesnt say it is submersible.http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/Motorsport/Fuel_Syst...

I would contact somewhere like Earls.
Or you could maybe get hold of some of that braided teflon crap. Crap because I hate braided hose lol
Or contact FSE Glencoe. Often in-tank hose is plastic type crap. But even some of the regular external hose will work fine in-tank. Or at least last a very very long time before it suffers any ill effects.
You could maybe purchase a little of each, and stick it into a container of fuel for a while to see how it fairs ?
Also worth noting, that you can often use the fancy braided hose or similar products, without having to use their dedicated ends. If that helped.
Obviously their dedicated fittings will allow the hose to operate to it's full working pressure etc. But not many fuel systems run into hundreds or thousands of psi.
Something like this.

I had planned to use braid but apparently you cant use it in tank as it will swell and damage the fittings... its also to do with the glue to hold it together etc etc
Phone Earls and speak to them.I see little reason why a teflon based hose cannot be used. But more than likely, any decent rubber oil/fuel hose will work just fine.
It certainly wont deteriorate over a period of days. Years probably.
But if you are mounting an A1000 in tank, it's not like you will have much rubber hose in the tank anyway ?
More often than not, it wont be exposed to fuel on the outside
I believe that fuel hose is made up of two or more layers. A nitrile inner layer and an outer layer of a different rubber (PVC ?) with reinforcing between the two.
I think what you need Andy is a reinforced hose that is nitrile inside and out.
I did a quick Google (it's my lunch break) and found difficulty finding 1/2",
although I did find Gorilla hose (made by Goodyear) on a site in the States.
Summers Rubber Company say:-
c & p
"The Nitrile synthetic rubber tube and cover give this hose a rating for high oil resistant (Rubber Manufacturers Association Class A) which makes this hose useful for certain petroleum mix or fuel applications."
It's sold primarily as a hp air hose.
Must be able to get this in the UK I would have thought.

I have been contacted by a memeber on here who has some and prepared to sell it... after a brief chat about their race cars and experience with fuel systems etc etc I am rethinking the whole fuel system... most particularly me fitting the A1000 in tank, so I wont be needing the huge fuel pipe now.

Couple of Bosch pumps would make more sense. Is this the place building the tank, or another place ?nope new contact who hasnt looked at my other thread just saw I needed the hose and had some... the irony is they do the ceramic coating for exhausts etc that I was also looking for so sorted another issue for me.
The conversation when along the lines of "why do you need such a large fuel line in tank"... "Im using an aeromotive A1000"... "oh dear, we used to use them but they have issues... we only use bosche on our race cars now"....
So Im going to fit a proper lifter pump and have a proper swirl pot in the tank and come out in -10.... i will then have external pump... either 2 bosche 044s or the aeromotive.
