A DB7 with a difference
Discussion
Ths Aston Martin dealer doesn't know what he's selling. Either that or he's just being a cock, because nobody looking for a DB7 is suddenly going to spend £54,494.

What a bloody timewaster.

I think you're drinking too much coffee! He's put a 7 instead of a 9. Chill out!
If it was a mistake he'd have changed it when I pointed it out to him last week. If I was an AM dealer would I want a glaring mistake like that in one of my adverts? No. Makes the whole operation look gor-blimey IMHO.Am I fussy? Yes I am

How is he a time-waster?http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

He's made a mistake in his ad. It's to his detriment, as no-one looking for a Vantage will find his ad and everyone looking for a DB7 will know that they didn't make them in 2008.
Chill.

Why do you care? Is it your car?
I just fail to understand how someone, presumably the Sales Manager at a prestigious dealership can be either so lazy, so disinterested, or guileful or dishonest. I want to say 'Hey, you've made a mistake, why not fix it?' He hasn't because it's deliberate. If it was some Johhny-Largeportion geezer type under the arches, fine, I expect illiteracy and dishonesty - but not from someone who represents the Aston Martin marque! If I went into Stratstones would the car have 'DB7' written on it? I hope not. So why do it on eBay?

I actually agree with the OP.
Its easy for dealers to not put correct info regarding the cars they sell. I am in contact at the moment with a guy who has tracked me down regarding my previous Tuscan. The very experienced dealer said it was Crystal Topaz when its obviously a different colour. A minor point but this guy is making a 600mile round trip to view and knows the colour he wants.
He knows what he expects to see, but it isnt as advertised.
I dont see a problem with main dealers getting their facts right in adverts.

Just saeen this...might be too late now but are you (& he) aware of the full history of the car since you parted company with it?
