does anyone struggle trying to sell BMW M3, are they popular
Discussion
They are popular. I always think cars will sell at the right price. Too often sellers think their car is worth more than it really is (clue is that it isn't selling).
What they paid or have spent on it is irrelevant.
That said, even E46 M3s are getting to the stage where they are cheap enough to be bought by people not willing to invest properly in upkeep - several owners in a short space of time might concern me in this regard for an M car. Cars like this can incur hefty bills (not unreasonable given their capabilities buy hefty nevertheless).

The well maintained ones with good history, decent tyres and a bundle of preventative maintenance receipts should sell well. Plenty of alternatives out there for the money though and lots of people trading down to smaller engines. I would expect most people would want to buy from a dealer if it was over £15k or so, for warranty and finance.
