As long as the rollers are the newish style contra rotating, the Freelander will be just fine. There shouldn't be any nasty grinding noises or potential launching into the front reception area!

A freelander is fwd with a viscous coupling to the rear - its never fully 4wd hardly any torque can be provided to the rear wheels via a voiscous coupler/yogurt pot.
