cerbera cigar lighter removed!!!

Hi there guys from the electrical problems i had, i took your advice and removed the cigar lighter. Thankfully everything now works except: indicators/hazards and passengers side window. When i press the window down button it clicks in the boot, and when i press the hazard button also clicks in the boot but don't work. The stalk doesn't click from the boot when pushed up and down. Any ideas? Could this be dash related wiring from these symptoms? Just the signal must be getting to the control boxes, but not activating further? I will be taking the radio out too soon to have a look. Many Thanks

Good news so far then.
It sounds like the issues you are left with are the control boxes (over the fuel tank). Have you unplugged them with ignition off and then re attached them? Or its a coincidence and your ribbon cable is knackered and also something to do with windows.

When my cig lighter caused problems it took out a few fuses. I know you say you're getting clicks when pressing buttons but worth checking the fuses (7 and/or 8 iirc)

They had all been disconected prior to putting the battery back in, but haven't since. I know they are plugged in properly. The ribbon cable looks fine tbh no sign of breaks or tears? Could it be a relay?

No blown fuses, i checked them i was hoping to see a blown one! Just didn't want to risk damaging anything like taking the radio out if anyone else maybe knew another reason, i can't believe how that lighter screwed up so much in the first place!!!

Passenger window not dropping could just as easily be either a dud window limit microswitch or corroded door wiring connectors, particularly if the car has been sat for some time.
