My god-daughter has managed to leave grubby hand-prints on one of my magnolia painted walls, (matt paint, indoors). What's the best thing to clean it off with? I've only tried a cloth and washing up liquid in water but, while it's helped a little bit, I can still see it.
I seem to remember my mum in the dim-and-distant past using sugarsoap - any good or is there something better?

Cheers

Yeah sugar soap, or dilute some dishwasher powder.

If that doesn't work a tin of magnolia paint?

You might find sugar soap will remove the marks.
It'll also possibly remove the paint, too.

A damp cloth should do it depending on what the marks are.

Vinyl matt paint has never been the best for cleaning.
