Random car - BMW M3 - 591bhp / 1342kgs - 586PP
To get to 550PP I had to drop the power to 440bhp.
I added 200kgs ballast (Maximum) to the car at 591bhp and the PP only dropped to 575PP!
Probably missing something here but 591bhp and 1342kgs is 440bhp/ton, so you'd expect it to be over 550 no? Even adding 200kgs it's still 383bhp/ton, whereas your 440bhp and 1342kgs is 327bhp/ton which suggests that 550 PP is indeed about right. To get to 550PP I had to drop the power to 440bhp.

Not sure 550pp is right for all. My M3 CSL has to be dropped to 290bhp which seems rather low and takes some of the fun out of it. Even my setup seems to struggle to work well without having that extra bhp to pull it round, I had to wind 1.5 degrees off the rear camber to get it to turn in better.Having said that I was running in a 575pp race and used the Evora which was pulling laptimes around the 6:58 mark at the Nurburgring and felt pretty quick.
M3 CSL at 550pp just felt a bit dull and slow, guess it's not the car for these races anymore
The heavier cars seem to fair better and take more of an advantage using the PP factor. My A8 came up just above the 550 limit and my Alfa 8C was below by quite a bit on the pp. I think the pp system is much better at getting different cars with close racing, I now have a few 550 and 480 cars as I know they will all likely be competitive. I had a 250bhp/tonne supra that was well off the pace but in the 480pp class it came 4th with a great battle between 3 cars all for second (my supra, an impreza and a golf!).

I'll double check as I have 6 or 7 M3's that I use with varying weight levels, aero etc and for the American rooms we do run racing soft tyres. Thought it was a bit harsh, 480 sounds much more fun and should give it plenty of poke on sports soft tyres.
Also might explain why it looked so slow last night lol.
