Bit annoying, but after sitting in traffic in central london for about an hour and a half the car suddenly on a gear change from 1 to 2nd, but annoying as I nearly missed my green light and would have been sat there another 15mins! It was then fine until I got to a multi-storey car park where it did it again (and struggled a little to start).
It seems coming down from mid to high-ish revs when steaming hot the car seems to 'miss' its idle point and the revs just drop and it stalls. When cruising around at low revs (below 1.5-2krpm) it drops down to idle just fine.
Its never happened before, and after cooling down it was fine on my way home when I came back to the car a few hours later. I can only imagine the issue rearing its head more so in the warmer months.
The car idles at 900rpm normally, I would rather not raise it, and tbh I don't think this would solve it anyway.

How much fuel have you in the tank? I find in the summer when everything gets hot the car at times struggles to restart when the tank is getting down a bit. I think its down to the fuel vapourising in the engine bay area. There is a fuel cooler in the AC system, it may be worth running the AC if the air temp is not too cold and see if the symptoms continue.
i had a similar experience the other day in windsor, had a spirited drive there parked up for about half hour, started okay as normal and was still very hot and stalled a couple of time, just died no revs dropping just died. Started okay after with a little throttle and been okay since. strange
What's the best source for some new coils and t-pots? Just thinking ahead..
Last time I hooked the car up to the laptop there was a big momentary drop on the ignition graph/trace every now and again which was previously solved with a new t-pot, though the drop came back shortly after although not as badly...
The only other thing I can think that is worth mentioning is I fitted a new battery on the weekend so maybe the ns aircon isn't as tight as it should be if that make a difference?
