Zip broken on glass screen. Argh.....

Hi folks

So, the sun was out yesterday and of course the roof had to come down on the '5. As i pulled the zip around the glass screen it got to the 3/4 stage and the 'head' of the zip broke, one side of it has come clean off, the zip itself is ok.

Any ideas on getting a replacement or is it a new roof job? Does anybody know what size the Zip head is?

Can't you just stick the ring from a keyring through it? That's what mine has on it
Although it only works when zipping up and it doesn't work for unzipping..

I got a replacement part from Mazda. Cant remember how much it was now but not expensive.

No, its the whole side of the head that has snapped off, it no longer zips at all.

I tried a few shops but they couldnt sell one without knowing the correct size

I got one from a scrap yard but that didnt work either as it was a non original roof and zip.

I will try Mazda tommorrow
