Radiator pressure Caps ( not the old argument)

ok what i would like to know is what pressure cap people have got irrespective of wether it is on the swirl pot or overflow , as a friend has been told to put a certain cap on and i would like to see the options that work
there is a number printed on the top of the cap (on the bottom in the picture )


my is 100 on overflow

Mine has "15" which I understood to be 15 psi ( 1 bar near as damn it), the pressure the cap will lift at ?

Would 100 be some metric equivalent ?????

100 bar = 1450 psi

i didn't think the pressure cap on the overflow would make any difference
,it seems to work ,no overheating and runs cool

Glad to see you have the right cap in the right place.

Surely you aren't expecting to see anything other than a 1 bar / 100 kPa / 15 psi cap? Other than a few people swapping the pressure cap and the blanking cap over (so they're the wrong way round) I can't imagine what variation you are expecting.

I believe my swirl pot cap is what's described as a long reach cap...due to the depth of the neck of the swirl pot.
Whenever I top up the coolant it always seems to dump coolant from around the cap and down the sides of the swirl pot...
Eventually I have to top up again. The tube from the neck of the swirl pot to the expansion bottle is not blocked...why it does this I have yet to discover...any ideas...?

Look at the sealing lip, mine was slightly bent up at one time and I was losing a little coolant.

Yep didnt say it wasnt but I see the logic that the cap is marked kPa then as above 15psi and surely you know that kPa is short for kilopascal
