Obviously red (I'm biased) biggrin

But seriously, although ours is red I think they look fantastic in silvery blues.

Quite partial to the original seventies colours as well though.

I think that's me on the fence...

My old 1600M was very pretty in metalic mid-blue with a silver model band. However the 'M' is such a pretty car it really does look good in most colours. It may be better to ask which colours to avoid.

Hi,
For me, dark with black bumpers are nice and all the colors with rare chrome bumpers !

Mine is yellow but had a colour change it started life as moss green. Its just about to have a respay. Would be a good time to question the colour.

My 3000M is bronze with a black vinyl roof. Currently considering changing to red if I do change from the original.

Period colours look best, anything resprayed in a more modern paint colour just looks wrong. But some of the 70's browns were quite nasty! My 2p

I think this gets the prize for the worst colour Vixen. It's that yucky mustardy brown BL colour, popular on Allegro's and the like. I think it may have been called Harvest Gold.

.... at least it's an OK green now.

Saw an Alfa GTV2000 or 1750 this weekend. It was pale green metallic with a yellow hue. Nice. Would show curves well on an M. Sergio Pininfarina favored silver for showing off curvature. He's no fool.

Ford Aquatic Jade. I don't think many Fords were painted this colour, let alone TVRs!

Richard

I'd be interested to know what sort of quotations you are getting for the re-spray. I'm going to be looking into this myself shortly for my 3000M.

Now, do I go bright red or not .........hmmmm

Likewise - it's not an immediate priority but something I'm thinking about. Will be changing from bright red...

I still love French blue, and IMO, the only colour, (other than black,) that works well with the black roof, is a warmer (more red, less blue) version of fly giallo. I especially like this with the inverted "T" on the hood, and the back panel, painted flat black as well.

[edit] Yes, the "TVR Yellow" shown above!
