Oil Level on 3R

Just wondering if there would be any reason to over fill with oil? The only reason for asking is the car was serviced at JetStream around 500mls ago, thinking that is maybe there way of doing it? Its about 30mm above the max on the dip stick?

Hi Steve,

It is not our practice to over fill the oil level and you should really get it drained down to the correct level when was the car serviced with us? i know its only 500miles ago but it must of been months back and with the previous owner.

It was in with you on 10/07/10 less then 500 mls since, just thought it worth asking re: the oil level, Ill take your advice and get some drained off, Just out of interest what oil do you use on servicing or recomend Matt?

We always use Shell Helix Ultra 5w40
as recommended by the factory.
