Tuscan Mk1 written off
Discussion
About 2 weeks ago had a 360 spin and hit armco with the offside rear. Avoided contact with any other cars thank goodness so no one hurt. Won`t go into detail but the police were involved but no charges being brought as it is suspected mechanical fault. End result is the car is to be written off as a total loss and I will not be able to buy it back. Still feel awful that it`s one less Tuscan but as some consolation maybe it`s put up the price of those left?
I had just bought a front splitter and mounting bracket but had not fitted it yet and had a bespoke rear screen bag made in dark blue with white piping. If anyone is interested I still have these items. PM me if you`re interested.

Hi ukcerb,
Bad luck on loosing your Tuscan, did something very similar to mine in 2009.
Just for info, my insurance came back with a valuation of my car based on its 'condition'(rebuild etc), mileage and age and gave me a valuation based on a search for a similar condition car.
Although I rejected the first offer, in reality it was a good one based on a good search and which was more than I paid in the first place (ecluding rebuild costs etc). The guy even sent me details of the cars he had found in case I was interested.
On the upbeat side, I used the insurance to buy a fantastic 2006 Tuscan Convertible which realy brought the smile back to my sad face.
good luck,
tony.

Thanks for your good wishes. Your Tuscan Mk1 was same colour as my old Cerb
(purple paradise). I always found the Tuscan very twitchy, slightly better with the spacers but I would not have another Mk1. Its got to be a T350 or Sagaris next or maybe another Cerb!

t on the road and possibly being in the wrong gear at the time. (drivers error).Yes, Purple Paradise. Certainly makes it easy to find your car in a car park.
I tried a Tamora and thought it was great but my Wife wanted me to stay with a Tuscan.
Wasnt going to argue and let her find it for me. (hence 2006 model

No the car was taken by the police initially and then from their hands straight to salvage yard for inspection by insurance assesor so I can`t get any bits, sorry.
Now I have done my vulture bit, I will do the sympathy bit - sorry to hear about your incident its never good to lose another Tuscan but at least you are unharmed and can look forward to buying another with the insurance money.Yes the accident was on the A23 at Pease Pottage intersection. I commisioned the screen bag to be made some time ago but have not collected it from the maker yet. It is dark blue vinyl/leathercloth with cream piping and has a fleece lining and zip closer. Likewise with the splitter, it is in my garage unused.

Ok. Well I think I saw you standing on hard shoulder, I didn't stop because you were already talking to police.Pm sent, re bag, although the posters above me can have first dibs, haha
I am going to the PH meet at Jaguars on Sunday. If anyone wants the screen bag or splitter (as mentioned in above posts) and is going to Sunday service let me know and I`ll bring them with me. Tim 07775 517531
Looking for around £200 for splitter with bracket bar (all as new) and
£50 for the screen bag (cost £80 to have specially made)
