BUYING FIRST CAR NEED HELP!!!

HIya
im after buying my first car and dont no much about cars so thought i would come here and ask

im torn between two cars the 2002 suzuki swift 1.0 gls. and the 2000 vw polo 1.0. its mainly reliability im looking for. and cheap insurance both have around 55,000 miles. any advice on which would be the all round better car to go for!?

A VW Lupo or a Seat Arosa if you're not a badge we.
Ford Ka if you're a real man.
Honda Jazz... most driven by geriatrics so should have a good insurance profile.

Have you actually got realistic insurance quotes for both?

They're much of a muchness. Have a look at both in the flesh and buy the one you like best or is in better condition. Check service history etc.

yer got quotes all around the same price but dont want to buy something thats going to crap out on me straight away!

I would go for the polo, the old swift is a seems pretty dated.

Have you tried any quotes for the 1.4 polo? It may not much masses more... just asking as the 1.0 is dog slow

A first car should be dog slow! It'll be SIGNIFICANTLY faster than walking ;-)
As has been said look for care and condition. Personally I'm a sucker for a car with premium tyres.
