Toyo T1R 285 by 18

Just spent about 2 weeks deciding what tyres to buy, decided on the T1R tyres, so found 2 bought them, now find out the are discontinued...bugger....what other tyres are good for a high powered rear wheel drive...I want it to stick well, as per the T1R blurb

Other similar tyre I've heard recommended Falken 452.

I don't think you have lost out - just fitted a pair of T1R's to the MX5 and it feels like I have toe-out on the rears on initial turn-in - very unsteady at motorway speeds and triggers the DSC much more frequently on low speed, acute turns.
