I have had this model and the KA Models detail kit for about a year and decided it was time to make it. I hope to be able to get some in progress picture, but may forget until the finished product. Anyway progress so far:

Just sprayed the body and found a seam down the front wings that wasn't obvious when I sprayed the primer. As the wife is away I turned the bathroom into a spray booth, I now have a huge job ahead cleaning up red dust.

Looking good. The engine looks great: are you going to detail it with plug leads and hoses etc?

It doesn't really show on the pictures but there are plug leads coming out of the distributor at the rear of the engine. There is also a fuel line linking all the carbs. I recently moved house and still haven't found the camera so these were taken on my phone which doesn't do close ups at all.

Built my GTO last year. Found the placement of the windows quite tricky to get right.
Would love to have the real thing ! If only I was that lucky Euro jackpot Lotto ticket holder

Here are some photos:

Nothing.

I think the body isn't fixed to the chassis properly: it's too high.

I took loads of pics during the build but can't find any of them now. I think the wife must have erased the memory card before I copied them to the PC. I have taken a couple today which I will upload soon. I was fairly disappointed with the kit and I got a bit bored towards the end so didn't give it as much attention as it needed.

The chassis/engine area detail is marvellous on that.

Red just has to be "right" on a Ferrari GTO
