At last the weather was good enough for me to get on the drive and finally finish the rear suspension rebuild, goodrich brake hose fit and bleed the brakes, all done by 2:30 on the road by 2:31!!

Looking forward to the summer.

On a different note SCH2011. At the moment I am having trouble finding a company to insure the "infrastructure" at the airfield. This year this is a requirement of the RAF Station as they have landing lights just off the runway and taxiways which must be fixed within 24hrs if they get broken in an accident as it is an operational base (unlike Cosford last year which had no lights). If I can find this insurance then the day should be excellent as we have arranged a cracking twist turny (S Series suited) 2.4 mile circuit. This is the reason the sign up page hasn't been created yet. If I can't get insurance the trackday bit is off but instead I intend to do a run to Wales (either the coast or the mountains) on the Saturday so the event will still be all weekend for those who wish.

Our own little "track day" would be great but a pleasant run round some nice roads will do nicely if insurance can't be sorted

Have you spoke to the base to see if they can offer any advice or put you in touch with someone who has previously managed to get insurance?

A run to the hills would suit me and certainly wouldnt feel like a compromise

Nicely done Mark my engine is in the process of being rebuilt, just need to get the new camshaft to put a bit of life in the old gal.

Yep, we had a meeting there and they had previously tried to put on an "in house" car followed by bike day - hence the good circuit but came across the same issue. Will keep trying until end of March which is deadline I've set myself
