yes it's true! Deposit paid today on a 3 week old King Charles Spaniel - and if I knew how to post a pic I would.

Which means said pup will be 5 months old in June and will be busily depositing fur all over my car all the way there and back - which leads me to my question - will there be any problems taking a dog? Can't find any mention in the T&C's so I assume it's OK but confirmation from old hands would be good!

And can someone please advise how to post a pic!!!!

I dont know about Le Mans but bringing a dog into any UK circuit is to my knowledge a big no no... We had someone do this at Oulton Park last year (I marshall there) - cue a dog hunt and find and eject said canine and owner from the premises.

Basically with all the noise etc think what would happen if dog went a little loopy got loose and ran onto the track...

You will of course need all doggy vaccinations/pet passport in place to have the pooch leave the country.

Personally I'd think you would be a nutter to try...

never seen a dog in the circuit since 2003.

To be honest it would pretty annoying if people did. Already enough things to avoid when it is busy, and then the dog st issue etc etc.

check aco site, think they are banned unless guide dog.

I imagine 110Db of car noise is not going to be fun for the dog either. Ours dislike the sound of fireworks... Indoors!

I think that you won't be able to have yon pooch qualify for the PETS passport. We take our mutt over to France - not Le Mans, and in order to go he had to have a rabies vaccination, then wait one month for a blood test, and then, whilst we could take him out of the UK, we had to wait 6 months from the date of the blood test before we could bring him back in.

I am afraid that your newest one won't be old enough to do it all by mid June.

You often see the French take dogs to LeMans

I don't think if fair to the dog but you can take them in

Don't forget you will have to get the dog a passpost and re-entry in to the UK

Besides, if she does show off her puppies, apparently you will see spaniel's ears.

If you are taking a dog it will need a pet passport and not sure a dog that young will get one.

Check with your vet......also thread is misleading as it seems you are only going to get one dog!

Agree with the posts regarding the pet passport, I don't think you will be able to bring it back into the country at that age, the 6 month requirement for the rabies will probably rule it out.

No idea about the rules for dogs at LM, but it probably wouldn't be a good idea anywhere particularly close to the circuit meaning you might need to leave it in the car and if it is a warm June that wouldn't be a good idea either!
