I MUST BE MAD.. MY 4.5 restoration WONT BE READY UNTIL END OF April ... SO..I bough a 4.2 in the interim !!. Starmist Blue with cream interior.. new style tuscan lights and NITRONS!! Seller didnt want to budge on price so may have paid more than i should.. but the beast is incredible.. although very very loud.. Will be hard to sleep as i cant wait to take her out again tomorow.

what usually a fair price for a 98 4.2 nitrons and very very well looked after?

At a guess, £12-14k on average for a very well looked after example.

ok..so it was a bit high i paid 14.5k.. But it just looked like it had been pampered and only had 27k miles on the clock.. not sure if i can afford to keep two... but will hold onto it long enough to feel the difference between 4.5 with intrax!! on first impression it felt alot smoother through the revs!

Well, you could of course add a few thousand on that range for exceptional values.

progress on 4.5 is blazing ahead,, blackpool boys have done most of the engine work.. car with dc for its new charcoal grey leather interior and windows are out ready for surface and design to begin priming for colour change.. anyone know if its possible to add some specraflair into thr grigio titanium.?

day out with 4.2 in london today.. not bad in the traffic ..no overheating.. how do i operate wipers ..they come to rest in the middle of the screen (sort of)

This sounds like the park switch on the motor may be in need of replacement.

If the wipers are not parking properly, then it's the park switch that needs replacing as said. Had mine done and cost £15 for the part plus labour.

I wouldn't add specaflair (?) to the paint if I was you. The colour is a fab quality looking finish that looks better on a cerb than a Ferrari. Making it more sparkly will move it away from Supercar paint to a finish akin to that of max power IMHO.
