I have just taken the plunge on an Audi RS4 Avant - the only extra it's missing from my wishlist is the Black Optics Pack: Black grill-surrounds, window surrounds and roof rails. The Audi dealer has told me to get these parts retro-fitted is labour-intensive and costly.

The all-black front grill can be ordered and easily fitted, but the window surrounds require removal and this is a much bigger job. Someone suggested I get the surrounds vinyl-wrapped. Rather than have a genuine black grill and vinyled window surrounds, I wondered whether I could get all the areas wrapped, keep the original pieces in good condition and remove the vinyl if I ever choose to sell it.

Thoughts and recommendations (London area) very welcome.

Thanks

Have a chat with Kelly at KDS Keltec about the parts, and whether trying to wrap the ones on the car is cost effective/false economy.
I'm sure if you booked the car in for a detail, he'd talk to you about an all-in price.

2nd that, I'm sure I remember reading a write up he did on detailing world on an RS6 that he repaired the black trims around the windows.

3 ways

replace trims as already posted

paint trims on car

or wrap with matt / satin / gloss black or even better carbon wrap like these

plastic parts just done

with a wrap on such parts (trims on audi) if when you go to sell the car the deal clincher is the trim colour can be returned to silver very easy wink

Ah ok - I saw that, but wondered if Yamaha hadn't just made the dials for a car manufacturer as I was really struggling to work it out hehe

How many car binnacles do you know with "neutral" and "high beam" printed on them, not to mention the shape either?
Brain in neutral, fingers flat out in third? tongue out
Don't worry, we've all redlined whilst stuck in neutral. biglaugh
