Hi All,

I've just bought an F430 Spider. This is my first Ferrari and from the fairly limited research i've done on the car, I know that servicing them at the main dealer can, like with most cars, be extremely expensive.

The other issue I have is that my local Ferrari dealership (Maranello in Egham) are so far up their own backside that I'd very much begrudge giving them any money to look after my vehicle.

The annual service is due 1st April so any guidance on where I can take it near Camberley would be most appreciated.

Maranello's are probably the best in the area (well so I'm led to believe), My dads Mate has his Maserati Granturismo Serviced at Ten Acre lane (I think) which is Maranello's service area with no problems or complaints ......

Thanks for the welcome. I'm new to the area and looking forward to getting this plus the other motors out on some of the weekend runs i've read about on here.

Is that the one in Old Windsor? I used to get my cars MOT'd there. It was recommended to me from another mechanic (trusted).

I guess Nigel can confirm smile

Would say Autofficina would be your best option.

Good luck with the new car really like the F430, maybe a googl;e search and see what specialist it brings up for the area.

Thanks Les - I'm really looking forward to it's arrival. I've had some good suggestions on specialist independants for servicing so think i'm sorted on that front now.

I bought it privately and was supposed to pick it up from Gray Paul in Nottingham on Friday after they had completed the 190 point check which I had instructed, just to be on the safe side. I hit the button to send the money at 2pm and it still hadnt arrived by 5pm. Turns out HSBC's interbank payment system went down.

It's not all bad though as the check brought up some work that needs doing on the ball joints. They said that they will do it for me under warranty and then deliver it down on a truck on Friday. I was steaming but i've cooled down now and think it's probably best to have it all ship shape (until the service is due!) before I use it.

Really looking forward to taking it on the Shire Run on sunday am. Just hope I actually get it in time!!!
