Battery in boot and flat agh

The battery to my S4C is in the boot and flat - of course I shut the boot a few weeks ago and now am completely stuck. Any help much appreciated. 'Steve Heath' is in the boot.

I think if you connect a battery or battery charger to the positive on the alternator and earth then that will be fine to operate the boot switch.
I fitted one of these ages ago which works well:

Hi can you still get the roof in with the batt in the boot? Any pics of your install?

V8S and S4 had the battery in the boot from the factory - its tucked round the corner in the boot on the drivers side, it doesn't interfere with the roof or the general boot at all, its tucked behind a panel.
