Am I too tall for a TVR S?

Am considering buying a TVR S series. However, I am 6'3 so will I fit?
Both in terms of leg room and whether I will be looking through or over the windscreen!

Thought I better check as I don't want to waste peoples time making arrangements and viewing cars if I can't fit in it with the roof on.

I should think you`d be okay, I`m sure there are a few s owners in your area who would op around and let you try it out for size?

Others who know what they're on about will be along any second (e.g. clivef), but I don't remember room being a problem when I test drove one maybe 10 years ago. I'm 6 foot 4

I had a TVR S3 with the optional pedal box move. Two inches I forward I think. I'm 6'5", 34" leg and it was just about ok. The S2 was tricky to get in and out of (shorter doors) and I think the dash was more restrictive?

I'm the same height as the OP and had no problems - plenty of room in there.

I do have restricted movement in my knees and did find it hard getting in and out of S1 and 2s, but the slightly longer doors on the S3 made it that bit easier.

6'3" and i fit in my s2, although an s3 with longer doors would make getting in easier

Speaking of knees, does anybody else sometimes by accident open the boot when moving? I have to pretend it's an air brake

Many thanks for the replies. Sounds like I should be fine then. With regards to getting in and out I used to have a S1 Elise so reckon it can't be any harder!

I'm 6'3" and once you've learned the best way it's fine.

I sat in AutoAndy's S3 and the extra inch or 2 was more comfortable than my S2. I can't imagine that it can be worse than an elise!

Gosh - are all S drivers giants?? I'm 6 6 and whilst its tight in an S2 its not too bad. I would avoid wearing big boots though as you feet will get in the way of pedlals. Sometimes I worry what would happen if it went over on the roof, but I reckon a roll bar might get in th way too if your tall.

Anything built in the Peter Wheeler era won't be a problem - he was 6'6"

I'm 6-2 or 6-3. I drove a friend's S1 for a while and it was OK. However I chose an S3 for my car as the longer door openings made entry and exit more civilised.

The regular steering wheel is fine, just watch out if someone has added a larger one which could get in the way.

Roof clearance is OK as well - Although why would anyone would want to have the roof up on a drive?..

Bit of huffing and puffing to get in and out, but once in i'm fine!

Me too. The later cars with the longer doors are IMHO easier for the taller driver to enter and exit but you should still fit in them all regardless.

No problem at all - I'm 6'5" with Size 12 feet and fit in with no problems.
The S3c had slightly longer doors, and they help getting in and out.

6'3" and didn't have much problem with my S3. Did used to also drive an S2 and found that a squeeze to get in and out as has been said. Later years had an S1 Elise and used to climb on the seats and drop myself down into the car!

another 6 foot 3 here with an S2 - No problems getting in or out -

loads of dead leg room here also. Only car I have ever had that allows me to fully stretch my left leg out.

Blimey! It does seem most of the S owners are tall. I first tried and S because I'd been told they were good at accommodating the 'lanky' type.

I was looking at Alfa Spiders before I bought the S3 and they were strictly for the more altitude challenged (no offence intended for the short a***s )
