Rusty exhaust heat shield advice required

Hi,

The exhaust heat shield that sits above the rear silencer on my '92 mark one has pretty much rusted away. Does anyone know if it is possible to get a new one? I've looked on the usual sites - MX5parts, Autolink etc and can't see one listed.

Or you could just remove it and get a free boot-heater!

Or just remove and line the underside of the boot area with tin foil?

Just get rid of it and be done with it. Mine hasnt had one on all the time i have had it (11,000 miles) with no probs.
