I have a suspicion this isn't possible with the way the forums work...

But a nice feature would be to see when you've been quoted in a thread, in the same area as the topics you've started and replied to.

Apologies if this has come up before.

If you've been quoted, it will be in the list of topics you've replied to.

What advantage would you get from being able to see where you've been quoted?

True, I tend to use the Forums tab to get to threads i've contributed to and to see if they've grown. In rapidly growing threads it would be good to see if someone has directly replied to a point i've made without having to trawl.

Unfortunately the underlying model of the forums does not know if you have been quoted, or included in a nested quote or not. The way it highlights on the web page is by looking for your login name on the page (so if you are quoted with a previous login name, then your post will not be highlighted).

Just the way the system cookies are crumbled, sorry.
