New Snetterton 300 circuit

I meant to post this last week but the other thread has moved into another area of discussion... This is what calum said about the new circuit after we tested...

Snetterton 300

The first test day on the new Snetterton 300 Circuit was run on Thursday 17th February.

With some of the great old corners at Snetterton unchanged the new section adds a highly technical series of 6 corners which reward accuracy and some patience. Variously a banked hairpin and some ‘not even if you close your eyes’ nearly flat out corners make up an interesting section helping to make Snetterton quite a bit more engaging particularly from the driver effort point of view! And Coram now goes on, and on, and on almost a full 180 degrees into a 90 degree left hander joining the Pit Straight about 80 metres earlier. Watch out into Riches!

Well done the team at Snetterton especially considering the 3 month lead time.

Can one grab a cup of tea from the restauraunt and wander round the back to watch?

Not yet but it looks like that will be possible. It should be much better for watching now.

The 300 circuit is great (I never drove the original circuit), lots of mud at the moment so cars that left the track (there were way too many) got properly stuck!

2 slow laps on my video mean that you get a good look at the new layout :-)

I think it's a real addition to the UK circuit list.

We're no there until May 26th but there are loads of other days before then.
