Helping out electric car drivers??

A few days ago, i saw my first Electric car on the road! It was on an M-way, doing about 45mph, in the pouring rain! And it got me thinking......


My car has about 220bhp, and it only uses approx 25 to go 60mph, so, as a good samaritan, if i had nudged up behind said electric car, and given them a little push, they could have lifted off the accelerator, got into "regen" mode, and i could have helped him recharge his batteries to the tune of about 195bhp!! Surely, thats legal, afterall, i'm just helping out a fellow motorist??? ;-)

I've spent some time thinking about how I could help out electric car drivers but I always ran out of ideas past cutting their heads off at the neck.

How fast would I have to push them before they catch fire?

Where did i say i hated electric cars?? I was just wondering if you could "Regcharge" one if their battery was flat by giving it a bit of a push!!
