You're aware of just how big a bill could be generated by a big off @ any circuit, let alone the ring I take it?

Where is the claims, or case history, for accidents at trackdays?

There is then also the duties of the TDO.

TF at the ring (the topic of the thread) is not a track day, and third party cover is a legal requirement.

Don't know about trackdays but at the Ring when you pay at the barrier you need 3rd party insurance as the rules of the road apply.

A friend of mine successfully claimed off a German car driver when he had an off due to oil dropped by the Germans car.

All I am saying is go on a trackday at the Ring, not TF.

And I do, but its a completely different experience, much more expensive than a few laps, and not exactly available very often.

Not really; you buy insurance to mitigate the risk, or you attend a trackday to achieve a similar adjustment in exposure.
