I still play with the old Pro Staffs 95s, much as I like their wooden feel I think the time has come for something a little more forgiving and more modern! Age has a lot to answer for!

I need heavy and head light, so I guess the modern version or if anyone can recommend another make...thanks

Are you still interested in this?

Are you saying you want a heavier racquet, but that it should be head light?

wow thanks for replying!! i am but did not think anyone else was

after similar weight perhaps a bit lighter say about 320g-340g and yes must be head light, preferably thin beamed, ie a control racket but slighter less extreme than a Pro Staff

eta does not have to be the latest thing, year on year not a lot changes except a paint job so happy to pay half the price for last years models, going to keep and use for many years so not at all bothered

I played county level and first team uni tennis. I've been using the Head Prestige Mid for the past 10 years in various incarnations. I currently use the microgel prestige mid - which whilst still only has 93 sq in head plays more like a mid size racket but stills has the mass as you desire. I have picked up another two this week quite cheap as the Youtek model is out.

I found the flagship Wilson Prostaff models n6.1, k6.1 etc to be too wood like and dead - but these might be to your liking...

This is good website for comparing racket specs - especially old and new specs.

Hope this helps smile

it does indeed many thanks, am tempted to change to another make just to see what it is like as have never played with anything other than Wilson

I guess I am similar level to you perhaps a bit below as stopped for a few years and only started again a couple of years ago so a bit rusty, but came back and felt the Pro Staff 6.0 just too much and too dead feeling, bought a modern Wilson it was less head light and promptly gave me tennis elbow so had to go back to the old boys but feel it's time to go modern, are these the Head ones you mean:
