Autotrader claims chap who has owned 400 cars wins the title; http://swns.com/motorist-whos-owned-400-vehicles-n...

Surely a PH'er can beat that?

Its a shame the majority of the cars he owned were boring 'white goods' cars.

Actually come to think of it the guy I bought my motorbike from showed me a list of something like 90 or 190 he'd owned before?

I know a 19 yr old lad local to me who's up in the 70's already. Usually things like old Beemers, Lexus's and 4x4's. Usually sells them on for a little more than he bought them for, so not a harmful habit.

Unlike the old boy who accumulated this lot in his barn.....

I was thinking the same, I prefered (sp?) the story from last year about the old guy who had only ever bought Jaguars all his life.

I know a chap in his mid/late 20s in the US who was well over 100 (and that was 3-4 years ago). Another yank who is late 30s is approaching the 150 mark (but has taken a year out from cars) - he got warned that he needed to register as a trader he was so prolific in his state.

The worst I've seen in the UK is probably around 100 cars by early 30s iirc.

If we're talking State-Side, surely Jay Leno wins that trophy?

I'd say he was the most prolific that they know about.

There are a lot of people with a lot of cars.

He's just been buying loads of crap over the years, I mean look at the stuff he has now! He could do better than that if he tried.

Agreed! 400 exciting cars would be a proper achievement!
