Thanks to the efforts of sgrimshaw, the South West convoy have booked into the Ashorne Hill Country House hotel near Gaydon for the Saturday night. Simon has negotiated a fantastic room rate[£60 double b&b,quote TVR CC0401]and the hotel will put on a BBQ for the evening meal.Fantastic venue with acres of private grounds and secured parking, just down the road from the event. I believe 20 odd rooms have already been reserved with another 80 odd still available.See www.ashornehill.co.uk. Us South West boy's are coming up to party. Whoose gonna join us?.....zz

The price is per room and not per person.I think a single room is £45 but if you call the hotel just double check.See you at the Growl.

The rates are per room NOT per person and include breakfast and VAT.

60 for a double/twin, 45 for a single.
(Excuse the lack of pound signs, but I´m using a Spanish keyboard and .......)

BTW : call 01926 708200 to book.

Hi,
Is this still a 2 day event, or has it been chopped to just 1 day?
Sorry if this has already been posted and I've missed it, but I know there was a question on whether to make it 1 day instead of 2.

Good point but haven't heard about the change in the plan.I expect the west country crew will stop over regardless and enjoy a pint or two and the BBQ

Thanks for the help guys (and dolls).
The interest levels are pretty pants to be honest. There are 33 names for the Saturday and 6 on Sunday via PH and I have had around 6 e-mails from the Sprint advert. I have tried to get the Chim's to add names but very few have.
However, we've decided to go for the 2 days as the cost is the same at Gaydon and this gives the people travelling from further afield more of an opportunity.
I will get on the case with Mrs FFG to formulate a plan and start finalising details.

I'm in with zztop and the SW lot at the hotel for B&B. Got to work sat am so won't be there till 2-ish.

In the words of Jim Morrison, in Waynes World 2, (a bit), "book them, they will come".

I don't know if it is a problem for anyone else but since Ted re-did the calendar facility I haven't been able to get it to work. (I said it that way rather than say "it's" not working ) But either way whereas I used to put in all teh events I was attending now I just don't bother... Rich...

Edited to add that I just had a good play with the calendar facility and basically I am listed for the Saturday but will be there on Sunday, however I can't see the event listed on the 1st August??? And... I'm also listed as being at LeMans and GFoS and Revival but these don't appear in my calendar? Doh. It's buggered I tell you! Rich...

I did e-mail Ted some time ago but it still appears to be knackered.

Well done maggit, glad your joining the party..Do you think if you spread the word we could have an organised TVR BBQ at the hotel in the evening? If so either FFG or any one of the committee members can call Tracy at the Ashorne Hill Hotel to make arrangements....zz
