you've got 2 lovely cars, but do you really talk like that?

What's with all the yo yo's blud, you would appear from that magazine article earlier to be a perfectly normal, middle aged, middle class bloke.

I ignored it earlier, but good grief, once you get past typing the spec sheets up, your language degenerates into the most unbelievable drivel, please start typing properly.

That aside, you are clearly a complete car nut, and i applaud that.

Your remarks clearly expose a bias against others that might be a little different than you are. I was born and raised in Hawaii so yes, I sometimes do talk like that. Its also been a call sign of sorts for me over the past years as a sign-off from posting online. If you don't approve, fine don't read through any posts of mine. Have a great day.

You see, that wasn't so difficult was it?

You misunderstand me, i would like to read your posts, but the signoffs are so grating, it is untrue. maybe it is a british thing, i don't know... it just seems so incongruous and somewhat odd to hear that sort of lazy dialect from a middle aged man, you aren't some hood rat you know!

I didn't know they had a ghetto in Hawaii. I thought it was more surfing..
This is a mainly UK forum where that "hood" speak goes down like a lead balloon.
You'd be better off to just reply in normal queen's style english, then we will all get along.

I think that its fantastic to be individual with both cars, language, style etc. It would be a very boring world if we all spoke the same........I think everyone speaks with a bit of slang thrown in sometimes, maybe some more than others.

The point is if you dont like it dont read it but dont degrade the original posters awesome car thread by giving him elocution lessons!

Back on topic I think both cars reek of awesomeness.

Hey Xen

Well if you love wheels check this out. Da Wintah Beatah got some lovin recently in the form of a couple of new sets of rims to the tune of 17x8.5 SSR Comps. It now rocks the nicer set of Comps with the summer tires and the not quite as nice set with the track tires. The BBS RKs are now relegated to wintah duty. I also added new brakes in the form of 2 piece JHM rotors for the front in 321x30s and the rears in 300x22s. I'm also in the process of turning this car into a BTCC/DTM tribute car. I've already got a full set of the BTCC vinyl from a company in the UK. It will also feature a front splitter and a carbon fiber rear wing. Things haven't been idle on the engine side. I swapped out the tubular exhaust manifold for the cast one from Spa. It still spins the Sportec turbo and I have seen no downgrade in performance. I also added the an Apikol intake manifold along with a set of Cat cams. That's all the news for now but stay tuned. Its going to the dyno for an E-85 tune next week. Oh yeah!

The cloth interior picture is old. I swapped out the cloth for a leather set of seats. The fronts had been covered in Alcantara and leather. As far as the Sparco pedal covers are concerned, they are a little pricey and perform a much needed function for some cars. I track this car quite a bit and use a heel and toe technique to rev match as I down shift. The covers are spaced to provide an optimum spacing between the brake and gas pedals to facilitate the process.

Well, the car went to the dyno yesterday to gets some lubs from da guys at Apikol. I had been running the Chris Tapp large turbo tune and a TurboXS MBC. Its basically a very simple electronic swap to convert over to the Eurodyne tunable system. We'd done this several weeks ago but only yesterday were able to align our schedules. We met up at Carz in Lakewood CO which uses a heart breaking, as in low numbers, Superflow dyno. While Doug was doing some preliminary street tuning with the E85, I borrowed Brendan's 2.0 stroker with GT3071R turbo to run back to our church which was completing a week of Vacation Bible School. The car is very lively to say the least. That rat Brendan limited the boost but overall, the driveability is excellent. My car has always had a limpy sort of bog coming off the line unless I punish my clutch a little. His just shot out. When I drove my car after they were finished it was transformed. A lot of Brendan's advantage is from the stroker but now my little 1.8 has lost most of the bog. I'd say I was about 80% of the way to Brendan's car. This was achieved through a nice dose of timing from the use of E85. Kudos to Doug on a fine job on da toon. The other change of note was a switch in MBC. I tossed the TurboXS unit and they installed a Hallman Pro Series controller. What a difference. The XS would always spike when accelerating in a loaded configuration and there is none of that with the Hallman. The boost comes up nice and smooth to your desired level which for summer driving we left at 28 lbs. I can always ratchet it up if I want but I was happy with a very nice flat set of power curves. Here's a few pics and the dyno plot. Boost is set at 28 lbs with a taper to 21. That's not too bad at all with my little billet compressored K-16 based turbo. Max torque was 327 at 4400 rpm and max hp was 311 at 5500 rpm.
