Have a condensing boiler with the outlet pipe going outside (gravity)

Fed up with the freezing and the fact I checked something under the boiler and the pipes dont look the best (bowed in places) and cramped which I am sure doesnt help with the extraction of condensate.

Looking into getting a condensate pump and wondered about the following:

- How easy are they to install?
- Can they be fed into the Soil pipe in the bathroom? (or even in the loft)
- Can the electrics be powered into the boiler electrics?
- How much are the costs / electrics?

Depends on the vertical run to the loft. Is there a way up? They can wire straight into the boiler electrics, yes. About £80 from memory?

Boiler is in the old airing cupboard outside the bathroom, so its only 2 or so metres up to the loft. Even though its on the 1st floor the gravity drop system is poor

Fitted one the other day which went up maybe 2 - 3 meters and then along maybe 6 meters. Works fine.

The condensate pipe just dripped into this one just like it would drip into a drain outside. When the condensate was up to a certain level in the unit, it fired up the pump and pumped it all away via a 15mm pipe. One way valve built in so you can go up, up, and away.

If the pump hadn't cut in by a set level, you could wire the unit in to trip the boiler out to stop a flooding scenario happening.
