Just wondering as i've seen Bromsgrove mentioned a lot on these forums, but not much in Redditch. And surprisingly I do see a fair few cars that i'd class as 'PH Types' around.

Ah well, you see i'm only 17 with a diddy 1.2 Punto, so think I might be somewhat outclassed. What are/when are some of the local meets though?

Haha, i'll have to believe it when I see it! I live in Matchborough but spend most of my time (when not at Bromsgrove college) in Lakeside helping my dad at his Bodyshop. Yeah if you wouldn't mind letting me know, that'd be great! Thanks, Tom

It seems this must have eluded my eyesight! I usually go to the South Midlands meet every month near Leamington Spa.

I must come to this since Redditch is only 7 miles from my house.

Got to keep eyes peeled for announcements on this thread @ future meets.

As a tip, things I tend to arrange are usuall headded "Worcester(shire)......", rather than Redditch. Do a search on the forum to see things we've done in the past wink

Yes, your most recent was the Sunday Service run to the MINI works.

Hello Tom.

I am local to you (along with a fair few others)

I prefer not to advertise exactly where I live to the wider PH community (the list of stolen cars in General Gassing gives you the reason why).

Mark (356) is our 'leader' - well, he helps us luddites out with Tom Tom map downloads etc when we head out for a drive.

You'll find us to be a pretty down to earth bunch and I have met some really good blokes (no, not you Dave) on PH and the Midlands forum. Keep an eye out for me - you'll tend to hear me before you see me wink

As Mark said, look on here for updates - We will definitely be sorting a drive out to Wales before we head of en masse to Le Mans.

Other than that the only bit of advice I would give you moving forward is as follows: If a seemingly nice bloke with a Scots accent and an Aston Martin offers you Werthers Originals, and to hang back and help you fix your car.. politely decline wink

rofl

Never offered me one, am I not the right 'type'? (I was going to put 'flavour' but that just seemed even more wrong)

Not unless you are covered in batter - being a Scot he has exotic tastes.

Yep, definitely seen that thing about!

I didn't realise there were this many of us in the local area, in a few years time I might own something vaguely PH-ish, so won't feel as embarrassed next to some of the machinery on here! But in the mean time, I can still attend some meets, just hope my 1.2 8V Powerhouse doesn't upset anyone wink
