You'll be fine. The locals here seem to genuinely love their leaders whilst the expats can do feck themselves if they don't like it! So that rules out any internal 'arguments'!
Can't comment on the rest of the world deciding to attack though or the event of a natural disaster, etc.

Not to mention the HEAVILY discounted property they are allocated (kinda lottery system) and the 0% mortgage they can have for the duration.Little or no tax and great healthcare, no crime - theres no reason to revolt.
Then there's the sponsorship deals only they can take advantage of, which mostly sees them get paid for doing nothing, then life's good!

plus the child bonuses, marriage bonuses, free academia including huge free grants if they excel to go study abroad, monopolised industries and distributorships(free money basically) etc...
They have it super cushty.
So, if I dump the Mrs and marry a local bird, would I be eligable for all this? Is there a Citizens Advice Bureau I could go to and discuss?!They have it super cushty.
There are so few "real" locals from the UAE that a revolt seems unlikely. Over 80% of the population is imported labour from Asia, India, Pakistan, Western Europe etc, etc.....and they are treated like s
t day to day and so a revolt by the imported labour would be crushed quickly and viciously. Besides, even though the labour is imported it is comparatively well paid (albeit it the conditions they live in are rubbish and often the money is less than they expected).
Short answer; you'll be ok there (but then I would have said that about Eqypt, Tunisia and Libya 4 weeks ago!!)
