Thoughts on Accusump on a turbo engine,worth the effort?

As per the title, I was considering a couple of these one for low oil pressure/surge situations and one for turbo wind down, any good or am i wasting my time?

If you're planning to track it a lot or put sticky rubber on then yes, otherwise no.

I think i might need sticky rubber just to stop the thing spitting me into the nearest hedge at every given opportunity

True, though I ran normal rubber on my SC Chim for a good while and it was all fine. I put R888's on though for some track days and loved them so much I never took them off! That said, I still don't really get oil surge on track, though if I was planning to use the Chim as a track car more often I would certainly consider a baffled sump or an accusump.

Don't forget the pre-oiling you get at first cranking with an oil accumulator, as long as you get the electronic valve it's there for free.

Give me a shout & I can tell you a manufacturer that used to make them, he may have some left. They are better IMHO than accusump due to being built with viton high temp seals & integral electric valve as standard. Accusumps end up costing a kings ransom to get all that... Mikes seen mine so he knows about it as well.

Several of the sprinters have suffered oil starvation issues on RV8 powered cars once their suspension is upgraded and they're driven with a certain amount of vigour. It concentrates the mind greatly to glance down in a corner and see the oil pressure gauge reading zero ...

So I'd say "Yes."
